The Rockets U12 boys’ basketball team finished their inaugural season (2013-14) with a bronze medal in the Divisional year-end tournament held at the end of March 2014.

The boys won the first game 41-39 in double overtime against a Kanata team.  The next day, they were victorious over Smith Falls 39-26.  In the boys’ last round-robin game, described as a heartbreaker, the Rockets lost by two points to Gloucester  Wolverines 38-36.  On the final day of the tournament, the boys fell to Kanata Select #1, which put them into a rematch with Gloucester for the bronze medal.  The Rockets led in the first four periods, then Gloucester came back from a ten-point deficit, putting them in the lead with two minutes to go ………

The boys took the lead back to win by a single point in a thrilling comeback!  These boys sure came a long way from their very first game back in October losing 79 to 4!

Coach Julie Kinsella was thrilled and stated she was proud of the way they played!  Her Assistant Coaches Dervin Birch (Coach D), Adrian Judd Danne Anderson and Anick Judd were a big help with this great groups of boys!!
